Stories Done Right

(Written at 11:30 PM, November 4)

The stories go that in the darkest times, there is still light.  Stories ain’t much.  They have power, sure, but in the darkest times, the stories never seem to go right.  An age of stories has taught us hope.  The world, most times, teaches despair.

I lived in the States for a few years, as a kid.  I’m not an American, but I learned a lot there.  America means something big to me – not always something good, but always something important.

Tonight, they made me proud.

Tonight, America elected Barack Obama as President.  That’s hope.  That’s the stories done right.
